About SBVS
The R100 Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (SBVS) ensures that every home and business in Scotland can access superfast broadband.
A subsidy of up to £5,000 is available to all eligible premises and covers all direct installation costs, which is carried out by a registered supplier.
Your property could be eligible if:
- Its current broadband connection speed is less than 30Mbps and;
- There are no plans for a superfast connection in the R100 contracts or commercial build.
Enter your postcode into our online address checker to find out if your home or business is eligible.
The SBVS is administered by the Scottish Government and is part of the Reaching 100% programme.

Voucher options
There are over 40 registered suppliers that you can contact. If they can connect your property they will apply for a voucher on your behalf.
There is also a Gigabit Broadband Voucher scheme (GBVS), which is an initiative by the UK government. This scheme is currently paused in Scotland.

What kind of superfast broadband connection could I get?
The voucher scheme is technology neutral. That means that as long as the solution you receive can deliver superfast speeds as a minimum, it’s considered eligible for the scheme.
Scotland has some of the most challenging geography in Europe. As a result, the solutions offered by registered suppliers vary from company to company, and is often determined by your location. Check out our guidance on technologies and how the scheme works to understand the options available to you.
